· When you wake up it is vital to drink two large glasses of water
· Drink a glass of water between meals to stay hydrated. It is not always about the quantity but also the timing.
· There has been much debate on this how much water affects our ability to digest food and the enzymes involved so perhaps minimise drinking during the actual meal.
· Water helps the body to eliminate waste and toxins and keep skin healthy and glowing
· We need an adequate supply of water to prevent infection and regulate body temperature.
· Stay hydrated alert and energized but dehydration can bring on headaches and muscle fatigue
· During the day our urine should be pale yellow. Not Dark as it is when wake (which is why we need to drink water first thing) and not clear which can indicate too much water!
· Keep your bowels moving and receiving enough fluid to keep that occurring. Here we can also look at magnesium to promote water getting into the colon.
· We now know that bowel movements are 20% waste matter and 80% bacteria so water is a big player in our health. The other ingredient that helps bowel movements is the amount of fiber: fruit and veggies. Remember serotonin is also created in the Gut so keeping hydrated is critical to feeling good.
